YXLP · Buyer brief

Longer-Leg Men's Boxer Briefs

Longer-leg men's boxer briefs are an inseam decision. YXLP can sample the length you write down. One catalog record shows mid-thigh bodies, while a flat style image on the same record shows a shorter leg. Another photo is a side view. Neither image replaces a measurement.

Who this brief is for

  • DTC brands

Your reviews mention leg length. You need the finished inseam on the spec, not a guess from a product photo.

  • Retailers

You may sell a short trunk and a longer boxer brief side by side. They need different measurements even when the fabric matches.

  • Subscription services

A basic that drifts shorter on the next drop is a fit complaint. Name the inseam with the artwork version.

Decisions to make before you compare quotes

Leg length is a number. Color, print and waistband artwork are separate lines on the same brief.

Sampling path

  1. Step 1

Pick the photo that has the leg you mean

The three-color set’s catalog photos are the longer bodies. The flat image beside them is shorter. Say which one the sample should follow, then write the inseam anyway.

  2. Step 2

Do not read plus size into a side view

The tropical side view sits lower than a short trunk and carries sample lettering on an orange band. It does not show a size. Send your size chart if you need an extended run.

  3. Step 3

Keep the length when the print changes

A later graphic does not reset the inseam. Put the measurement in the tech pack so a print approval cannot quietly shorten the leg.

Questions buyers ask

How do we specify a longer leg?

Send the finished inseam, the rise, the leg-opening finish and the size chart. Point at the catalog photo you want the sample to follow if the record also contains a shorter flat image. The photo is not the measurement.

Is a longer leg the same as a plus size?

No. Leg length and body size are different. The side-view print does not show an extended size. Send the grade you need if the size run goes beyond your standard sizes.

Do quick-drying or cotton words on the listing transfer to the label?

No. Those words are in an old title. Ask for the fiber and agree any wear claim separately. This page does not report a test.
