What to review in a digital mock-up
- Silhouette, panel layout, waistband proportions and visible stitch placement.
- Logo position, artwork scale, colors and label placement.
- Open questions that need a measurement, material swatch or construction reference.
What needs physical confirmation
Use a physical sample to assess fit, stretch and recovery, hand feel, seam comfort, opacity, wash behavior and actual color. Confirm the sample uses the intended fabric, trims and construction. If a digital model or visualization is used, ask what measurements and materials it represents and which details remain provisional.
A practical review workflow
- Share a tech pack, reference images, size chart and artwork files.
- Ask the supplier whether digital mock-ups are available for the project and agree on scope and timing.
- Mark requested changes directly on the review file and keep a dated revision record.
- Approve a physical sample against the specification before authorizing production.
