No country makes the best underwear for every buyer. The best sourcing option depends on your product, required materials, destination-market rules, order size, quality expectations, delivery plan and total cost. Country-level reputation is too broad to replace due diligence on the factory that will make your garment.
Use the same scorecard for each option
- Product fit: can the supplier make the specified silhouettes, fabrics, trims and size range?
- Material control: can it identify the proposed fabric and provide samples and documentation for the exact quality?
- Quality process: are measurements, workmanship checks, defect handling and inspection responsibilities clearly defined?
- Compliance: can the supplier provide documents relevant to your product, claims and sales markets?
- Commercial terms: compare quoted quantity, price basis, payment, lead time, packaging and order changes.
- Logistics and communication: assess shipping route, delivery uncertainty, language, response quality and escalation process.
Make the decision with samples and written terms
Issue the same tech pack and questions to shortlisted suppliers, then compare quotations and samples against the same criteria. Verify documents with the issuing organization where appropriate, and ensure they cover the specific site, product or material you intend to use. A country of manufacture by itself does not prove quality, safety or environmental performance.
Before bulk production, approve a pre-production sample, measurement tolerances, labeling and packaging. Record how material or factory substitutions must be approved. Confirm order-specific quantities and timing in writing.
