YXLP · Buyer brief
Men's Briefs Private Label
A men's brief has no leg. YXLP can sample that cut when you write the rise, the leg opening and the pouch. Three reviewed photo sets are briefs: a six-color pile, a white, black and red set, and a four-color set with sample words on the band. Old titles call some of them boxers, trunks or boxer briefs. The photos do not. Use this page to brief the cut you can see.
Who this brief is for
DTC brands
Your range includes a no-leg style next to boxer briefs. The two cuts need different measurements even when the cloth matches.
Retailers
A color row in a photo is not a pack. Name the colors and whether each pack is one size.
Subscription services
A later drop cannot switch from a brief to a boxer brief because an old title used both words. Lock the cut.
Decisions to make before you compare quotes
The cut is visible. The fiber, the logo and any extended size are not. Write those as changes, not as facts from the title.
| Decision | What to record |
|---|---|
| Cut | Brief: no leg. Say so if you actually need a boxer brief and this is the wrong page |
| Rise and opening | Front rise, back rise and leg-opening width |
| Colors | Which shades are one program. A pile is not a pack recipe |
| Band | Plain, or your artwork. Repeating sample words are not your logo |
| Fiber | What you want sampled. Organic and cotton in old titles are not compositions |
Sampling path
Step 1
Call the style a brief
Do not carry boxer, trunk or boxer brief from an old title onto the spec. If you need a leg, send a boxer brief reference and keep this page for the waistband idea only.
Step 2
Replace the band text
The four-color set repeats sample words. The six-color pile shows no logo. Send artwork and the placement if the band is branded. A narrow ribbed band in a photo is not a method.
Step 3
Keep fiber and size off the title
Ask for the composition of the cloth you will approve. The six-color cloth looks smooth and slightly shiny. Say if you want that handle or a matte one. Plus size is not visible on the white set. Send a chart if you need an extended grade.

Guides that belong with this brief
Questions buyers ask
Are these photos boxer briefs?
No. The three sets have no leg. Brief them as men’s briefs. Send a different reference if you need a leg.
Can the six-color set be labeled organic cotton?
Only if you can support that claim for the cloth that is sampled. The old title is not evidence, and the photo looks smoother and shinier than a matte cotton brief. Ask what would actually be cut.
Does the white set show a plus size?
No. Nothing in the frames is an extended size. Use the plus-size brief if you need a grade, and still name the cut as a brief if that is the body you want.
