YXLP · Buyer brief

Plus-Size Men's Underwear Private Label

Plus size and big-and-tall are a grading request, not a look you can take from a catalog photo. YXLP can sample an extended size run when you send the body sizes, the finished measurements and the size that has to be proven. Two reviewed records use plus size in an old title. One photo set is men's briefs in white, black and red. The other is a side view of a printed boxer brief. Neither frame shows a size chart or a larger fit.

Who this brief is for

  • DTC brands

Your reviews ask for sizes past the standard run. You need the grade written down, including which end size is sampled.

  • Retailers

A big-and-tall fixture needs the same body as the core sizes, or a stated reason it is not. Send both charts if they differ.

  • Private-label programs

The waistband, labels and pack are still your brand. The size grade does not come with the artwork, and the artwork does not come with the grade.

Decisions to make before you compare quotes

Leg length, body size and the brand are three different lines. A longer inseam is not a plus size, and a plus-size title is not a measurement.

Sampling path

  1. Step 1

Do not take the size from the title

Plus size in an old address is a keyword. The photos do not show an extended fit, a tape or a size label. Send your chart.

  2. Step 2

Name the cut the photo actually is

If you sell boxer briefs, the no-leg set is the wrong silhouette. If you sell briefs, the printed side view is the wrong silhouette. Say which cut the grade applies to.

  3. Step 3

Sample the size that can fail

A base-size sample does not approve the largest size. Ask for the end size you need to prove, and compare it with the graded spec. Fiber content is still a separate line. Cotton in an old title is not a care label.

Questions buyers ask

Can you make plus-size or big-and-tall men’s underwear?

Send the size chart, the finished measurements and the size that must be sampled at the end of the grade. YXLP confirms what can be sampled for that spec. The catalog photos titled plus size do not show an extended fit.

Is a longer leg the same as a plus size?

No. Inseam and body size are different. Use the longer-leg brief for a length, and this page for a size grade. A side view does not settle either number.

Does the waistband artwork change the grade?

No. Send the logo separately. Lettering in the printed photo is a sample. A branded band is approved on a band sample, and the fit is approved on the size you named.
