Woven Boxer Shorts and Lounge Underwear Range for Men

A sleep and lounge range of boxer shorts in woven cotton and knit jersey. Woven boxer shorts are cut loose with an elastic waistband and an overlapped or buttoned fly. They depend on pattern matching, shrinkage control and seam strength rather than on stretch. The items below are starting specifications for development.

Development starting points, not stocked products. Availability, minimums and cost are confirmed in the quotation. Updated October 4, 2026.

Who this range suits

  • Brands that sell checks, stripes and prints.
  • Retail buyers building seasonal sleep and lounge assortments.
  • Gift and bundle sellers who want a boxer short with a looser, more forgiving cut than a close-fitting style.
Starting specification, not stock. Schematic flat sketch, not a photograph.

Woven cotton poplin boxer short

The classic woven boxer short in cotton poplin, with an overlapped fly and an elastic waistband.

Based on the boxer shorts specification page.

Woven cotton poplin boxer short: starting specification for development
Fabric directionCotton poplin, woven. Mostly or fully cotton, with elastane normally limited to the waistband elastic. Confirm the composition on the finished fabric.
Weight starting pointA light-to-mid poplin, commonly around 100–140 g/m². Confirm against a reference garment.
WaistbandElastic enclosed in a fabric casing, with plain or woven-logo elastic, and optional drawcord or button fastening.
Cut and constructionLoose cut with a rise and leg width set by measurement, an overlapped or buttoned fly, and strong side seams. Pattern repeat must align at the side seams and fly.
SizesS to XXL on your waist-based or alpha chart. Woven fabric needs more ease than knit, so supply measurements rather than a size name alone.
Colour and printYarn-dyed checks and stripes or printed designs. Each colourway or print is a separate fabric approval.
BrandingA sewn woven label at the waistband or side seam, and a printed waistband elastic if wanted.
Pack formatSingle piece folded in a bag, or a gift box for a bundle.
Agree before bulkShrinkage and skew on a washed sample, pattern alignment tolerance, seam strength at the fly and crotch, and colourfastness to washing.
Starting specification, not stock. Schematic flat sketch, not a photograph.

Brushed cotton flannel boxer short

A warmer, brushed-cotton boxer short for seasonal sleep and lounge lines.

Based on the boxer shorts specification page.

Brushed cotton flannel boxer short: starting specification for development
Fabric directionBrushed cotton flannel, woven. Mostly or fully cotton with elastane limited to the waistband.
Weight starting pointHeavier than poplin, commonly roughly 130–180 g/m². Confirm the weight and the amount of brushing against a reference garment.
WaistbandElastic enclosed in a fabric casing. A flat casing avoids bulk under the thicker fabric.
Cut and constructionLoose cut with an overlapped fly. Thicker fabric makes bulky seams, so agree seam finishes at the fly and crotch.
SizesS to XXL on your chart, with extra ease for the thicker fabric.
Colour and printYarn-dyed checks and plaids, or printed patterns. Pattern repeat and shrinkage differ from poplin, so approve them separately.
BrandingA woven label or a printed label at the waistband.
Pack formatSingle piece in a bag or a boxed gift set.
Agree before bulkShrinkage and skew, pilling of the brushed surface, pattern alignment, and colour change after washing.
Starting specification, not stock. Schematic flat sketch, not a photograph.

Jersey knit lounge boxer short

A relaxed boxer short in cotton jersey for buyers who want a soft, stretchy alternative to woven.

Based on the boxer shorts specification page.

Jersey knit lounge boxer short: starting specification for development
Fabric directionCotton single jersey, with or without a small elastane content. Composition is confirmed on the finished fabric.
Weight starting pointSimilar to an underwear jersey or a little heavier. Match a reference garment.
WaistbandCovered elastic or a wide soft band, with an optional drawcord.
Cut and constructionRelaxed leg with an overlapped or plain front. Knit fabric is more forgiving on fit than woven but needs shrinkage and twisting control.
SizesS to XXL as a starting grade set.
Colour and printSolid and melange colours, plus stripes by approval.
BrandingA printed or woven label and an optional small logo.
Pack formatSingle piece in a bag, or a two-pack.
Agree before bulkShrinkage and twisting on a washed sample, waistband recovery, and pilling.

Every line is a starting point to adjust in your brief. Weights and compositions are common ranges to match against your own reference garment, and sizes follow the chart you supply.

Developing this range

  1. Set the fit of each item by measurements rather than a size name alone.
  2. Approve fabric, pattern repeat and colourways with a swatch or strike-off before cutting a sample.
  3. Agree the pattern-matching tolerance at the side seams and the fly.
  4. Wash and re-measure a sample, including skew along the seams, before approving bulk fabric behaviour.
  5. Decide the pack or gift-box format before requesting a quotation.

What to send for a quotation

Common buying questions

How is pattern alignment tolerance agreed?

Agree it on the sample: mark the side seams and the fly, measure the offset on the checks or stripes, and write the accepted offset into the tech pack or purchase order so inspection has a limit to apply.

Are these boxer shorts stocked?

No. They are starting specifications for development, not stocked products. Availability, minimums and cost are confirmed in the quotation for the selection in your brief.

Do woven boxer shorts stretch?

The fabric itself has little stretch, so fit comes from the cut and the waistband elastic. Agree rise, seat and leg width with measurements rather than a size name.

Can I get checks and stripes?

Woven checks and stripes are normally yarn-dyed. Confirm the pattern repeat, the colourways and the shrinkage on a sample, because each colourway is a separate fabric development.
